Research on other student magazines

I decided to research into some of the different types of magazines available and so I would have a better background knowledge of what needs to be put into a magazine. Also I can then see the things that I would use similar to certain magazines and different to the magazines.

I looked on some websites to find out more information on what would be needed inside the magazine for students. I needed to find out the sort of information which is displayed on the front cover of magazines to try and attract readers of the magazine and what information student's may find relevant to read inside the magazine.

I went on http://www.national-student.co.uk/magazine/ this link was extremely helpful to explain the type of things that are relevant in a student's magazine, the topics which are popular and also how the front covers aer displayed and what information is displayed on the front cover to attract readers.

I also looked at the website http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2005/mar/14/studentmediaawards.students4 this link was also helpful when producing my magazine cover because it helped to explain the kind of information which was important in a magazine, and especially a magazine specifically aimed at student's.
